Krobo beads are tradtionally made by the Krobo tribe in the Eastern region of Ghana. The beads are made from recycled glass botttles that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create the drum shape. They are then hand painted using a thin wooden stalk and cooked a second time to fix the decor.
